Anyone else about sick of winter?  I am very eager to be able to step out my door and be greeted by warmth and sunshine.  This winter has been relentless and I just look forward to having sessions outside again. 

February has been off to a busy start with several newborns being born-one on my daughter’s birthday   There are still a couple more that need to make their grand entrance and all of these newborns are being born to first-time moms and dads.  It’s such an exhilarating time for them.  It takes me back to that moment I became a mom.  You just never realize know how much your parent’s love you until you have a child of your own.  Tomorrow I will share a sneak peek from my session with new little babe Paxton.  I only can wish now that I would have had images taken like the ones I will share tomorrow.  I did take my son in as a newborn to a big box portrait place but I never had any taken with him, which I now regret. 

Also, this past weekend I had an engagement session.  It was probably the most relaxed session I’ve had to date.  And I mean that in a way that the couple is just that laid-back.  It was a nice change of pace and really challenged my creativity as I used their home as the backdrop.  If the wedding is anything like the engagement session, it will be smooth sailing from start to finish!

In other news-6 more days and the contest voting closes.  Voting will close at PROMPTLY 8pm on Sunday, the 13th.  Votes on FB are also time-stamped, so that evening I will tally up all those votes with the poll votes and announce the winner on Valentine’s Day on my “My Life Monday” blog post!  I think I promised an update today, didn’t I?  At over 600 votes and only counting POLL votes-#14 is in 1st place, #3 is in 2nd place {and not too far behind either}, and in 3rd place is #10.  There’s still plenty of time and not too many are taking advantage of the 2nd vote on Facebook.  Be sure to vote there as well, as it only takes one more vote to break a tie and who knows what will happen?!  There has been some question as to WHERE to vote on my Facebook page.  Like my page and then you can click on the album titled “2010 Image of the Year Contest” and just comment below with your image # of choice-that’s it!  Other votes elsewhere on my Facebook page will still be counted but this just makes it easier as all the votes would be in the same place. 

I don’t have an image to share today-but will have some cuteness to make up for it tomorrow!
